Your Kinsa Smart thermometer should always be properly stored and kept clean after each use so that it's ready to be used at a moment's notice. Who wants to use a crusty thermometer anyway?
You should also avoid leaving your Kinsa in direct sunlight or in the freezer. We recommend storing it safely in the medicine cabinet, a drawer, or even throwing it in your suitcase when you travel.
How To Clean Your Kinsa QuickCare or Kinsa Smart Stick
You can clean your Kinsa QuickCare or Smart Stick with alcohol swabs, alcohol wipes or mild soap and water. Never put your Kinsa in boiling water, a dishwasher, or rinse under a faucet. To sanitize further, use an alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean the tip.
How To Clean Your Kinsa Smart Ear
To ensure your Smart Ear thermometer is recording accurate temperatures, it is very important to keep the probe sensor clean. We recommend using a cotton swab with alcohol and gently circling it around the inner sensor area at the tip of the Smart Ear. Be sure to clean the inner flat surface of the sensor - not just the rim. Never submerge your Kinsa or put it in boiling water or a dishwasher. Keep the protective cap snapped onto the top of the thermometer when not in use to protect the tip from damage.
